The £9m Long Eaton Health Centre, which first opened its doors to patients in May 2006, was officially opened by local MP Liz Blackman on Friday 3rd November following completion of the second and final phase of building work.

Ms Blackman unveiled a commemorative plaque in the reception area during the event for staff based at the facility, representatives from Southern Derbyshire LIFT Company and builders Laing O’Rourke.

The new state-of-the-art facility houses a range of services including:

• Three GP practices
• Podiatry/ minor surgery
• Pharmacy
• Cardiac liaison nurse clinic
• Neurology nurse led clinic
• Physiotherapy
