Southern Derbyshire LIFTCo are delighted to announce that handover of the £4.1m Village Community Medical Centre was achieved on programme on 12th January 2007.

The centre will openeing its doors to the patients in February 2007. The services that Derby City PCT will be offering from the new centre include the following:

• Consulting rooms and full ancillary accommodation for a seven-doctor practice with one consulting room designed as a teaching suite.
• Accommodation for a physiotherapy treatment room and room designed for small group counseling in confidential circumstances.
• An office base for a four-person community nursing team.
• A dispensing pharmacy point and secure storage.
• A dental suite with two chairs and facility for dental X-Ray.
• An ophthalmology suite.
