Southern Derbyshire Local Improvement Finance Trust Company (LIFTCo), a public private partnership currently investing £40m in modernising community health and social care facilities in Derby and South Derbyshire, has recently appointed Russell Rigby as its part-time non-executive chairman.
Russell’s career in property spans 24 years, with 21 of those at Innes England. Between 1993 and 2005 he acted as selling agent to Derby City Council in the sale of Pride Park and chairs the high profile City Growth Derby project which is developing a new economic strategy for Derby. His track record also includes devising estate strategies for both the public and private sector and involvement in public private partnerships in the region.
Russell says: “My new role at Southern Derbyshire LIFT Company gives me the opportunity to share my expertise in commercial property, regeneration and property development which has been built up over the last two decades in the East Midlands.
“I aim to help identify more sites suitable for LIFT schemes and help to grow the business into new complimentary business sectors.”
Russell joins Southern Derbyshire LIFTCo following the opening of four state-of-the-art facilities, and whilst four further schemes are being constructed.
