Southern Derbyshire LIFT has agreed a deal that will allow the second bundle of schemes to move a step closer to completion.

This will allow construction to start on the four schemes of:

• Alfreton Primary Care Centre, Amber Valley PCT
• Coleman Health Centre, Greater Derby PCT
• Swadlincote Primary Care Centre, Derbyshire Dales and South Derbyshire PCT
• Village Community Medical Centre, Central Derby PCT

Once completed the new buildings will work toward improving both primary care estate as well as access to primary and social care services across Southern Derbyshire.

The Southern Derbyshire LIFT schemes complement the new acute hospital on the Derby City General Hospital site and the redevelopment of the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary into a community hospital. These developments will ensure that patients receive the highest level of health and social care facilities at whichever point they access the service.
