Southern Derbyshire LIFT are delighted to announce that the first phase of the Swadlincote Health Centre scheme, was completed on Monday 6th November.

The £4.7m health centre will be opening its doors to local patients at the end of November. The mian features of the new facility include:

• One Stop Primary Care Centre.
• Modern primary and community services working in partnership with other agencies to provide integrated care.
• New GP based practice within the health centre.
• Co-located screening, treatment, support and prevention services through an extended range of community and nurse led services.
• An expanded number of hospital consultant outpatient services, reducing the need for patients to travel to Derby.
• Enhanced facilities for the Out of Hours GP Service.
• Four NHS Dental Suites improving access to NHS and community dentistry.
